Lauren Whitlock is a gifted rider, trainer and teacher. She is intuitive in her handling of horses and students; she is focused, and clear in her intentions. She is controlled and patient: no temper and no tolerance for a mediocre effort.

I think there is only one way to evaluate a teacher, and that is by the progress of the student. My experience with Lauren has produced measureable progress in my riding skills, the understanding of my horse, and the level of my confidence.

I am 61 years old and only started riding at age 50....first trails, then hunters, and now, with Lauren, eventing. I did my first Combined Training in January 2009 and expect to be competitive in my first three day event before summer. The journey has been lots of fun so far, and we're just getting started!

My horse is "Inka", an athletic 17h Hanoverian mare imported from Holland about five years ago. She has lots of jump, thanks to her paternal grandfather, Calypso II, and is responding well to Dressage training; but if you ask Inka, Cross Country is the "big wahoo"!
